About Thomas & His Qualifications

Thomas holds a CSDD (Certified Surveyor in Damp Detection) qualification and is authorised to conduct fully comprehensive inspections of a wide range of damp related issues. His 15 years in the industry makes him ideal to carry out an independent damp survey in your area since he has coupled his understanding of Damp Detectives’ specialist knowledge with his expertise and talents.

We are unable to offer a fixed quote for a damp survey to any of our customers because every case and property is unique.  The best course of action is to get in touch so that we can discuss your issues and your options.  It is important that you provide us with as much information as possible and if you can provide images, this will help us to gain a better understanding of the problem.  If you decide to proceed with the damp survey, we will be able to provide you with an estimated cost for your survey.  

How Does Thomas Work?

As with all of our specialist Damp Detectives, Thomas will make sure that you receive a high-quality service that identifies the root of your damp and mould issue and adheres to:

• Ethical Quoting – You will receive an initial, no obligation assessment and quote.  Surveys are great value for money and usually cost less than a typical home buyer’s survey.
• Quick Response Time – Thomas will respond to your requirements as quickly as he can.  If he feels that he will be unable to carry out the survey in your expected time frame, he will inform you.
• Site Visit – Thomas will arrange a visit to the property that requires a damp survey.  For small residential buildings this will take approximately 3 hours.  
• Survey Report – Thomas will gather all of the necessary information required to draft a report.  You may request a written report which can be emailed to you after payment has been received.

The report includes a variety of elements including a wider scope survey of the entire property as well as:
